Internet Explorer 9 at long last....

At LONG LONG last Internet Explorer 9 has arrived and about time to!, IE 8 was just looking so old now compared with Chrome and such like, it still had a massive market share but for those in the know it was never used.

We have used the beta and RC versions of IE9 and yes it’s a massive improvement but the weird thing is it’s just nothing new, compared to Chrome IE just feels current instead of feeling years behind.

Our main complaint has been the length of time it’s taken MS to get it to RTM - in the mean time we have long left IE alone and become die hard converts to Chrome. Will we be switches back to IE? - well difficult to say at the moment, we wish you could theme it like you can with Chrome which is just one of those silly little extras that we really like. However for those websites out there that insist on us using IE - and there are a few, at least now we can enjoy that experience more!...

Download it now! - oh and for some reason MS have put it on a site under another domain which at first glance just sounds dodgy, why have they done this?? who knows....anyway the links below so get downloading:

Microsoft Small Business Server 2011

Well Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 is almost with us and so far the main improvement we can see is that is running Exchange 2010 as its email server instead of Exchange 2007.  From what we have seen with our implementations of Exchange 2010 it is much more resource friendly which is going to suit Small Business Server.

It’s also a great opportunity for those still running Small Business Server 2003 to migrate – SBS03 still makes up a large portion of our install base so many of those customers will leapfrog SBS03 straight to 2011.

More information is available here at the MS website:
